Charlie is a Scottish actor and comedian specialising in characters, audio and improv. She has taken three solo shows to the Edinburgh Fringe, all centred around retelling history.

She's written for BBC Scotland, Hat Trick and Radio 4 and worked with Griff Rhys Jones on his UK tour. Her sitcom pilot was shortlisted for the Triforce-UKTV WriterSlam and is currently on the shortlist for the Funny Women Awards. 

In 2014, Charlie moved from Edinburgh to London to complete her Diploma in Writing and Producing Comedy at the NFTS with Channel 4. (She also has an MA in Italian and Modern History from St Andrews.) For the past year she has been receiving mentorship from Soho Theatre and regularly works in both Edinburgh and London.

Charlie has a diverse range of specialist skills as she has a background in dance as well as over 10 years experience in improv comedy and being a long standing member of Glitch - The Improvised Puppet Show and the National Youth Theatre. To find out more, please browse the sections below or see her Spotlight CV.
